The SEC announced this morning the punishment for Auburn’s post-game field rush. The fine: $250,000.
SEC schools can be punished for up to a quarter of a million dollars when fans rush the field after games. First-time violators can be fined $50,000, with second-time violators at $100,000 and the third occasion going for $250,000.
Auburn is used to it, at least. The Tigers were fined $250,000 when they rushed the field after beating Alabama in 2017.
Auburn was fined $250,000 again by the SEC for the fans rushing the field after the Iron Bowl.

The SEC is going to have to increase these fines by a lot if they want to actually stop it from happening. Auburn seems to have no problems with a $250,000 fine for a field rush after a win over Alabama.
