Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas was ejected early in the first quarter of their 122-103 loss against the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night after he put his hands on referee Marat Kogut while complaining a call. The league office also imposed a $25,000 fine on the former All-Star for his actions.
Thomas, however, won’t even bother appealing the penalty:
Isaiah Thomas said he will not appeal the $25K fine the NBA dinged him with earlier today for making contact with a ref last night.

IT had been trying to fend off two Blazers defenders as he tried to keep the ball in bounds when he lost his balance and hit the official with his hand while also giving him a slight push in the process.
It’s arguable that the contact was not intentional as the quick toss clearly caught Thomas by surprise. Nevertheless, the referee still didn’t appreciate getting shoved by incidental contact.
Thomas has had a pretty rough couple of weeks. The Wizards guard recently received a two-game suspension from the league after he confronted a couple of fans in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The two fans were shouting expletives at Thomas in the fourth quarter after he shot free throws, and this prompted him to go directly to their seats and confront them. Although Thomas confronted the fans in a very respective manner, the league still imposed the suspension on him for violating league protocol.
Isaiah Thomas has played in 26 games for the Wizards this season and has started in 23 of them. On the season, the two-time All-Star is averaging 12.8 points and 4.3 assists while shooting 41.5 percent from the field and 41.6 percent from beyond the arc.
