Steelers vs. Browns brawl: A complete list of suspensions and fines, from Myles Garrett to Mason Rudolph - Sporting News

The NFL wasted little time in beginning to punish the Browns and Steelers for the wild Thursday night brawl that included Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett tearing off the helmet of Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and hitting him in the head with it.

Late Friday morning, a little over 12 hours after the fight, the league announced a series of fines and suspensions for players involved, but there is more fallout coming, per the statement. Below is an updated list of all suspensions and fines as a result of the Thursday night melee.

'THAT'S ASSAULT': NFL players react to Myles Garrett's helmet-swinging attack

Steelers-Browns brawl suspensions, fines

Myles Garrett: indefinite suspension

Unsurprisingly, Myles Garrett received the longest suspension of anybody involved in the brawl. The third-year DE's indefinite suspension will keep him out of at least the final six games of the 2019 season and any potential postseason games. After that, his reinstatement is contingent on a meeting with commissioner's office, the NFL's announcement read.

The suspension is without pay and came with a fine of an undisclosed amount. Officially, the suspension is for violating "unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct rules, as well as fighting, removing the helmet of an opponent and using the helmet as a weapon.

Maurkice Pouncey: 3-game suspension

Steelers offensive lineman Maurkice Pouncey is suspended three games for retaliating against Garrett following the helmet swing. Pouncey threw multiple punches and kicked Garrett's helmet while he was on the ground.

Pouncey is appealing the suspension, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The suspension is without pay and came with a fine of an undisclosed amount. Officially, the suspension is for "fighting, including punching and kicking an opponent."

Larry Ogunjobi: 1-game suspension

Pushing Rudolph to the ground after Garrett's helmet swing will cost Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi one game.

The suspension is without pay and came with a fine of an undisclosed amount. Officially, the suspension is for "unnecessary roughness, specifically for shoving an opposing player to the ground during an altercation."

Mason Rudolph: Upcoming fine expected

Rudolph, who helped cause the fight by attempting to take Garrett's helmet off, won't be suspended but is expected to receive a fine, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Steelers and Browns: $250,000 fine each

The NFL fined each organization $250,000. For comparison, the Patriots received a $1 million fine for Deflategate, and the Saints paid $500,000 for the bounty program.
